Celebrating the Lives of Loved Ones who have passed

Bellvue’s 1st Annual Day of the Dead Celebration

October 10th – November 2nd

The Artists’ Nook and Bev Perina presents:

Bellvue’s 1st annual Dia de los Muertos- Day of the Dead: Celebrating Life for Loved Ones who have passed.

Art Opening

Friday October 10th at 5 pm – 8 pm

Which includes Artist Reception, Chili Cook Off and More!

Bev Perina’s Fine Art and Antique Show will feature art, jewelry, and many handmade items from local artists and artisans.

Friday October 10th 5 pm- 8 pm, Saturday Oct 11th and Sunday Oct 12th 10 am – 5 pm.


An Ofrenda is installed by artist Laurie Zuckerman in the Bellvue store which the community is invited to add a picture of a loved one they wish to celebrate.

The origins of the celebration of The Day of the Dead in Latin America can be traced back to the indigenous peoples of the Americas, such as the Zapotec, Aztec, Maya, Purepecha, Nahual and Totonac
Rituals celebrating the lives of dead ancestors had been performed by these Mesoamerican civilizations for at least 3,000 years.
