Hi all,
Lots happening here!
Where do I start, Secrets of Rusty Things by Michael deMeng has arrived! Michael's new book came sooner than the Publisher thought! Great Surprise! Of course, I have read it and it is really good reading, great inspiration & fabulous eye-candy! The artwork, not Michael! Ok, him too!
Each chapter is about a myth. Michael explains the myth & has a piece of artwork he created to go along with that myth. Also, He has his interpretation of the myth & the process of putting the artwork together to symbolize important parts of the myth. On the side of each page, he tells about how he acquired the finds that go into the artwork, Garage Sales, Second Hand stores, etc. It really makes you want to junking!

Ok, now on a Personal Note: I joined Weight Watchers & join a health club on Monday. I have been this path before as many of us have. Gain, Lose, Gain Lose! Since running the store full time, I have neglected myself. I have had great success with Weight Watchers in the past (lost 50lbs. twice) and know I will again. I had done Weight Watchers 2 times, once after my 3rd Son & another after my 4th. I had done a different weight loss program 3 years ago which was great but there was more supplements, timing of eating and restrictions. I feel Weight Watchers is more realistic for me! The weird thing was when I weighed in to get started, (no I will not tell you what that weight was!) It was the exact same weight as when I started to lose 3 Years ago! I guess that is my breaking point! I know it is hard to predict the future but I really feel this will be the last time I do this! It is a lot of effort to lose the weight, but little effort to put it on! So I plan to keep it off this time! I respect myself too much not to! As I teach in my art classes everything we learn is important for the next thing we do. We learn in layers, each one important for the next step, project or journey. I really feel this way with my weight loss/gain. If I had not gone that route of loss/gain etc, I would not have the knowledge of the past experience to set my mind on my goal and future!
I have coupons at the store for Free Registration or Scrapbook Kit at Weight Watchers when I invite a friend. Good thru 4/21.
Take Care,
Christine
